Thanks Wiper Insert Card

Hey everyone! Today I have a i-crafter design team project to share with you. This time I'm using the Pop-up Wiper Insert, Floral Garden die set and a stamped sentiment on the inside with the Amaze Me stamp set. You can find more photos on the i-crafter blog post here.

I had a lot of fun creating these little mushrooms. I used several different colors of card stock; ranging from a dark red, red, to a rustic orange. The other mushroom that is on the left is more neutral colors using white, kraft and cream colored card stock.

Assembling Die Cuts
Dies: Floral Garden, Pop-Up Wiper Insert (i-crafter)
Card Stock: Schoolhouse Red, Lipstick Red, Burnt Orange, Peacock Teal (Simon Says Stamp)
Neenah 110lb Solar White, Neenah Desert Storm 100lb, Raven (Brutus Monroe) Rustic White (Papertrey Ink)
Adhesive: Multi Medium Matte

I ran the mushroom dies through my die cutting machine, several times to get the correct amount of each color I will need. This is all done after the background is ink blended, more information on that is below. I adhered these right to the background, intentionally overlapping some of the mushrooms on the outer gray frame. The "THANKS" die cuts can be used on the inside for the wiper but I chose to make it my BOLD sentiment.

Before I assembled the mushrooms though I did ink blend the background with a few distress inks and oxide inks.

Ink Blended Background
Distress Inks: Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn
Distress Oxide Inks: Peeled Paint
Card Stock: Bristol Smooth, Smoke
Dies: Rectangle Double Stitch dies (2 sizes to create the gray frame)

I used some basic ink blending daubers to blend on to Bristol Smooth card stock. Starting first with the Tumbled Glass distress ink. I darkened the edges with Stormy Sky then used the greens on the bottom area. I used one of the skinny makeup brushes to swipe the Peeled Paint distress oxide ink on the bottom. It's fun and easy to do and gives a bit of grass blade texture.

The inside holds the gift card and has a interactive wiper motion. As the recipient opens the card the banners at the top come together and make the inside sentiment. (I'm still working on a video for the two wiper die sets from i-crafter, hopefully will be up soon.)

Materials for the Inside
Dies: (i-crafter) Pop-Up Wiper Insert, Floral Garden
Stamps: (i-crafter) Amaze Me
Card Stock: Same as outside, (Papertrey Ink) Clear Card Stock
Adhesive: Glossy Accents

I used the large wiper die first, to die cut the mechanism. I creased all the scored marks with a bone folder and used a strong liquid glue to adhere down. Again I will have a video up soon and will update this post when that is ready. I know it can be hard to visualize how these go together.

The wipers are die cut with a clear plastic card stock. It's easiest to align these while the card is fully open. Getting these as straight as possible is important before adding the banner. I did cut my sentiment stamp, from the Amaze Me stamp set, in half and stamped each part on to the banner halves.

Then added another mushroom on the inside. I love that you can add in the gift card holder using the coordinating die or stamp and decorate the rectangle to hold your message.

Alright that is it from me today!
Thank you so much for joining me.
