Black Light Copic Coloring and Neon Aqua Pigments

Hey everyone! So I had this idea to try to color an object like it was under a black light. I knew the Neon Aqua Pigments would work well as a background. But I had to play around with some Copic markers to figure out what would be the closest to a black light glow. Now I am shooting for white under a black light which has a blue purple effect and I thought I would color one of the monsters to look darker like he wasn't as black light reflective.

Black Light Coloring
Stamps: Brutus Monroe Monster Slefie
Dies: Art Impressions Square double stitch die
Ink: Raven Detail Ink
Card Stock: Neenah 80lb card stock
Copic Markers: BV04, BV02, BV01
B02, B00, BG11, BG10, BG000

I used my stamp platform and stamped the monsters on to white cardstock using Copic friendly black ink. Then used the colors of markers listed above. I like the way this turned out but I'm thinking a ultra violet color combination would have been cool too. But I used what I had and made it work for this card.

Once done coloring I fussy cut the monsters out leaving a white border which I colored in to act like a glow around these cute little guys. Then die cut them with a square die at an angle. This did cut off several of the smaller monsters, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Neon Background
Stamps: Brutus Monroe Super Sentimental
Neon Aqua Pigments: Pink, Yellow, Blue, Green
Card Stock: Ultra Black card stock
Embossing Powder: Brutus Monroe Alabaster
Tools: Watercolor paint brush, Gelly Roll white pen, Tonic cutter

For the background I used a really dark black thick card stock and splattered it with the above Neon Aqua Pigments. I also took the watercolor brush and and smudged it on to the card stock. I let that dry then die cut it with the same square die I used on the monsters. I also trimmed down the left over pieces into 1/2 inch strips.

used another piece of black card stock that is trimmed to 4 x 5 1/4 in. I placed the large die cut square in the center and added the left over strips around the square diamond shape. Then placed the monsters at the bottom of the diamond square where they fit perfectly. Using my favorite sentiment from the Super Sentimental stamp set I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. There a couple of small accessory stamps in that set as well. I used the cluster of hearts to add an extra detail.

Everything is adhered to a A2 size card base and I also used a white gel pen to highlight the neon splattered card stock.

Alright that is it from me. Sadly this is my last post as a member of the Brutus Monroe inspiration team. I look forward to seeing what the new team does with these fun products.
Thanks so much for joining me today!
