Hidden Sentiments for Interactive Cards | i - crafter Zip Tag Die Set

Hey everyone! This week I have a fun idea for hiding a sentiment on a card. The i-crafter Zip Gift Tag die set has a lot of great dies in it that you can mix and match. For this card I used the zip die and hid a sentiment behind it for the recipient to find! Definitely fun for anyone.

I'll start with how I made the tag.

Dies: i-crafter Zip Gift Tag die (with star, congrats and zip options)
Stamps: i-crafter Amaze Me stamp set
Cardstock: Neenah Solar White 110lb, Papertrey Ink Scarlet Jewel & Enchanted Evening, Simon Says Stamp Lemon Chiffon
Embossing Powder: Brutus Monroe Alabaster

To begin, I used the Tag die without any die inserts to cut a blank tag from white cardstock. Then again with the zip die insert and the congrats. This time using a lovely deep red/purple color of card stock. I had a certain color combination in mind of course. .
Setting those aside for now I worked on the stamping. Using the maze stamp from the Amaze Me set and stamping it with clear embossing ink to emboss with a bright white embossing powder. I used my Stamp Platform so that I could stamp this a couple of times and also a embossing bag to get rid of static so that the embossing powder does not stick where it shouldn't. I trimmed down the navy blue card stock, leaving a small border around the square maze stamp image.

I adhered the maze image to the tag and then die cut the star die in the center of the maze. Since I was die cutting through several layers of card stock I ran it through my die cutting machine several times. If you get any frays, just clean up your die cut image with a pair of small scissors. I used the congrats and star dies again with a light yellow card stock and adhered those over the top on the tag.
Before gluing the white tag behind my top tag I stamped the You Amaze Me sentiment. To help get this centerd I laid the red/purple tag over the top and marked where the zip lines start on the left with a pencil, this worked well as a guide. After that adhere everything together, be sure to stay clear of the zip part of the tag so that it pulls off easily.

See how cool it looks when the zip is pulled!

Now on to the background.

Ink: Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers & Cracked Pistachio
Card Stock: Neenah Solar White 110lb
Fun Bits: i-crafter Zip Gift Tag die (star die option, center negative piece) Buttons Galore and More Sparkletz Lucky Charm

Using makeup blending brushes I blended on Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink in the center of a piece of white card stock then blended the Peacock Feathers on the out edges. I used my fingers and added clean water in swiping motions from the center, just to create some texture.

After adding on the tag with some foam dimensional tape I started adhering the gems and other embellishments. The glue I use is Multi Medium Matte with a fine tip and tweezers to help get those tiny pieces right where I want them. I also added a white gel pen to the congrats letters so that they would stand out a bit better.
