Alcohol Ink Maze Die Card | i - crafter First Blog post!

Hey everyone!

I'm pretty excited to be sharing with you my first official blog post for the new stamp and die company i - crafter! It's been fun getting to know Lynda and everyone on the Design Team (some I already have worked with!) For my project today, I thought I would share with you this fabulous die that cuts out a heart shape maze! Also included is a little heart padlock and a key die.

If you missed the blog hop for the January Release you can find it here.

Also I have a Youtube video showing the new release and a project using another die set here.

This card is pretty clean and simple for me! I loved the shapes in the hear maze die and knew that I wanted that to be a focal point. But that die needed something to equally show it off. I haven't used alcohol inks in quite some time so I pulled those out and created a teal/ blue background on acetate card stock.
I like using acetate or vellum with alcohol inks because it is still transparent so whatever color you put behind it shows up slightly. I was pretty boring with this one and just added a white rectangle die cut behind the alcohol ink heart but with the added detailed maze die cut it works well.

So while the alcohol ink dried fully I die cut the heart maze from a light pink card stock. The keys I decided should be metallic so I used a gold foil paper for the heart padlock and silver foil paper for the keys. I've been intrigued by mixing metal colors lately. The key is one die, I just cut it three times to create a cluster.

Also when you die cut the keys, the handle portion has a cute little heart cut out. I love it when dies have added details like this. It just makes them even more versatile. I saved those three silver hearts and adhered them to the top left side of this card, for an extra detail.

I used a black cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment from the You Amaze me stamp set, with a white embossing powder. Trimmed it out then added dimensional foam adhesive to pop it off the card. Everything is mounted on top of a piece of Fog cardstock which is adhered to a Neenah Solar White 110lb A2 card base.

Thank you so much for joining me today!
