Hey everyone! It's Wednesday Blog Hop day for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration team. I've seen all of the projects already and let me tell you that everyone did a wonderful job!
For this hop the theme is Subscription Items. I took the snowman from the Stamp of the Month and created a little family of them, gathered together for their Holiday photo. Now my house isn't one to do family photos for Christmas cards but I do receive a few from family and absolutely love them.
For the background I used Snow Paste over last months Stencil of Month. I've really enjoyed receiving new stencils each month. This is something I pay for and is a great way to build up my stencil collection. If you haven't checked it out I suggest you do! While the Snow Paste dried I stamped the snowman three times using Raven Detail Ink. This time I'm using Copic Markers, list below are the colors I used.
Now, I have a tendency to use blue a lot and also red & teal. So it should be know surprise that those colors ended up being the only colors on this card, besides neutral colors. Even though my intention was not those, lol. I think I was inspired by the Jaw Breaker pattern paper.
I fussy cut each snowman then inked the edges and stamp the sentiments on to a scrap piece of Sidewalk cardstock. I also fussy cut those. I layered one of the Laser Cut Instant photo frames over the top of the Snow Paste background and hand cut a hilly background with Silver glitter stock, adhering that over top. I stacked my snowmen in a little group and added the sentiments "Let it Snow" and "Merry Christmas". There is actually three sentiments in this little stamp set!
I decided to use a bold sentiment from the Holiday Essentials stamp set just to fill in the bottom of the chip board. That one is stamped in Raven Detail ink and I dazzled it up a bit with a crystal snowflake.
This whole piece is mounted to a card base and that is it!
Copic Markers Used:
R29, R14
B95, B91
BG15, BG11
W3, W1, W0, BG00, RV000
Creating my little family of snowman with the Stamp of the Month was so fun and of course I love it that snowmen are one of the things that is so easy to color!
Thank you so much for joining me today!
