Gotta Gingham Art Impressions Challenge | NEW Fright Night set

Hey everyone!
The Art Impressions design team is back with a week 2 showcase of some new Fall/ Winter sets for Challenge #263 Gotta Gingham. For this challenge I'm using the NEW Night Fright clear set, along with some of the fun and versatile Art Impressions dies. To start though I used Copic Markers and this cute image of the dog, mouse, cat and little spider flying across the night sky on a broom.

The colors I used for this cute image are listed down below. I remember having a green plastic pumpkin to trick or treat with, it was either one of those or a pillow case. So I thought it would be fun to have the little mouse holding on to one of those. Once I had the characters colored I used several markers to color the background. To save on some ink though I went ahead and tried to get as smooth of a blend as possible with the Copics, then blended several Distress Oxide inks over the top to smooth it out and at more depth. With the makeup blending brushes it's super easy to blend the ink close to the images with out blending over them and ruining the coloring. I used the second to largest Banner Double Stitch die and cut out my night scene then used Copic Opaque white over the top to splatter white stars.

I also used the bat image and a small Circle Double Stitch Die to create the moon. Die cutting it from Neenah lb Solar White card stock, then blending Distress Ink in two colors; Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw. The sentiment is also cut from another Art impressions die, I used the double end flag die from the Flag Double Stitch dies and chopped off the flag ends so that it fit on my scene a little better. This is also popped up with a dark blue craft foam.

I matted the dog, mouse, cat and spider scene over the top of a piece of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid (I know it's not sold anymore!) then trimmed the end with scissors to mirror the banner end. The challenge is "Gotta Gingham" so I layered this whole thing over the top of a piece of dark gray gingham pattern paper. I love how the neutral background makes those colors so bright.

For the inside I used some more of the pattern paper and also a few more stamps from the Night Fright set. The ghost with the Halloween banner is so cute! I made the "hello" greeting with one of the sentiment stamps and also colored up the cute jack-o-lantern to add to the lower left side of the inside of this card.
