Easy Desk Memo Board | Art Impressions Challenge #258

Hey Everyone!

Welcome back to another challenge from Art Impressions! This time the Design Team is making desktop decor to showcase the new laugh lines sets. I got to play with this lovely snarky lady!

For my project I decided to create a very simple memo board. I've had this silver frame from the Dollar Tree and it's just been floating around my craft room. I've used it for props and such, so luckily any frame will work for this project. The one I picked up will hold a 5x7 in photo, which I thought would be big enough to write a reminder or memo but small enough for a desktop. Also, keep in mind that you could hang this too. I recommend Command Stripes!

I cut a piece of 8.5x11 inch Neenah 110lb cardstock down to 5x7, make sure you measure the exact size you need for your frame. Honestly this was pretty easy and I could recreate these for gifts pretty quickly! I stamped the lady in the lower right corner with the help of a stamp platform using Gina K Amalgam ink.

I colored her in with Copic Markers, colors listed below. I used my favorite colors but you could easily customize those if you are recreating for a gift! To ground the lady from the Laugh Lines Never too Old,  I used some cool gray markers. I like the look of the wavy edge, Similar to the one I did with the Hedgehog card , so I utilized that design again. Keeping it lighter so that I could stamp one of the laughable sentiments. Picking just a few of the sentiments from the Laugh Lines Never to Old set was the hardest part!!

I used one of the smaller Art Impressions Banner Double Stitch dies and heat embossed the fun "Never too old to Party" sentiment in white. and adhered it towards the top. There is a lot of white space and that is so that you have plenty of room to write your message! I used a regular sharpie to scribble some notes down. If you have calligraphy skills or really nice handwriting you could do some fun things! My handwriting is basic and it's a struggle to get it that legible! Work in progress....

To clean this memo board I just used some hand sanitizer and a rag and the sharpie erases very easily! You could also gift a small set of dry erase markers in fun colors that coordinate with your image coloring. I think that would be a nice customization!
