Sloth Flip Card | Art Impressions Blog Challenge

Hello guys!
There is a new challenge over on the Art Impressions Blog for the release of the new Flip Cards! I hope you have joined in on the fun!! For this challenge I used the new Sloth Flip Card set. These little guys look so happy and chubby, just hanging out. I tell ya some days Sloth mode is in full force around my household. 😄

For this card I used the coordinating Flip Card die which is super handy and has great instructions on the back to follow. So that gave me the card base. To add the branch/leaf background I used a piece of Canson watercolor paper and Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. I created little leaf shapes with my watercolor brush using several green paints. Then add lines to each group, which acts as branches. I also used some Prismacolor pencils to define my lines a little more and add some shading and texture to the leaf painting.

I stamped the sloths on a different piece of cardstock then used Copic Markers to color them in. I was inspired by the colors on the packaging which I thought went well with all the green I had already used. I fussy cut the Sloths out then used a black marker to ink the edges.

I stamped the 2 sentiments on to a piece of wood paneling cardstock using white embossing powder then stamped and colored the back side of the sloths with the same colors of Copic Markers. I could of replicated the vine/leaf design from the front but for this one I didn't go that route. I do like to keep the insides more clean and simple.
