Shrinky Dink Shaker Bits | Demon Hunter Shaker Card

Hey Guys!

Today I'm sharing a Kindred Stamps project using stamps to make Shrinky Dinks for a shaker card. I'm using the Demon Hunters set, which is just sooo perfect for me. In this set it has 3 characters and a lot of great sentiments but it also has a car image! Now this may be my dream car... so I know I had to utilize it in a special way.

Oh and I'm happy to announce that this video is my 13th video for Kindred Stamps and it is up on the 13th of March..... I'm taking that as good luck!

Watch the video here.

I started this shaker card by stamping out all of the images and sentiments that I possibly might use. You know I don't have a solid plan, well rarely, I tend to create on a whim. I set those aside and pulled out the Shrinky Dink material that I bought. The stuff I'm using is a bright white plastic material. There are different kinds out there so make sure you get the stuff that will work for the project that you want to do.

I also had to go and get a new Staz-on ink pad. It's been a while since I've used that ink and it was pretty dry. You may or may not know that Staz-on ink is a solvent ink so it does have a strong chemical smell. But it works fantastic on slick surfaces like the Shrinky Dink material. I've also used Staz-on on glass!

After stamping the car from the Demon Hunters set I cut them out and then used my heat tool to shrink the cars down. I did this on my glass media mat and used a metal spatula so I didn't burn my fingers. I also used a large acrylic block to set over the shrinky dink cars so that they cooled flat. I did try to use my tweezers because that is my go to tool for holding items. But the tip left a hole in the shrinky dink material. Those are my tips!

I used the Kindred Stamps Forest stencil to create a background with several Distress inks then die cut a circle for the shaker portion. I colored the characters off camera but I have the list of copics I used listed below. The rest of the shaker portion you can see in the video on how I put this card together.
