Foiling with Stencils | Kindred Stamps

Hey guys!

Today I'm sharing how to use stencils with transfer foil! There are a few things that you will need to do this technique; Transfer Gel, foil, laminator and other tools. But it is a fun way to stretch those stencils a little further and if you love foil or anything shiny, this is a must try!

Watch the video here.

I started with Simon Says Stamp fog cardstock and the Swirl stencil from Kindred Stamps. Laying the stencil over the Fog cardstock I used a palette knife to spread out the Transfer Gel trying to create a smooth thin layer, which was achieved better in my second attempt with the Plumber Brothers set. Pictures are below.

After letting the gel dry until it was clear (a little over an hour) I laid the foil sheet over the top of the gelled cardstock and created a sandwich using parchment paper and a piece of thin copy paper. Once it was all layered and sandwiched I ran it through my laminator, I did 2 passes just to be sure.

I pulled up the foil once it cooled just a little to reveal this fun shiny pattern. The foil I used for the first card is Tide Pool from Brutus Monroe / Deco Foil and the gold is from Gina K. Designs/ Thermoweb.

In the video I showed just the coloring of the car from the Kindred Stamps Demon Hunter set. But I also stamped and colored all the images I used in the second card, Plumber Brothers. The Copics I used are listed below for each card.

That's it! I hope you enjoyed the video and subscribe if you did! Take a look at the list of products I used below and if you have a moment leave a comment. I love hearing from you guys.
