Hey guys! First off, don't forget to leave a comment on all the participants of the blog hop, you may win a prize! More info below. It's been a bit since I've played with Alcohol Inks and I thought the Kindred Stamps release for March Bursting Love would work well with a dramatic background. Check out the video and links below for more.
Watch the video here.
As you saw I used Alcohol Inks in colors; Gold Mixative, Snow Cap Mixative, Pitch Black, Limeade, Lettuce
The only other things I used for the background was the blending solution and some rubbing alcohol to add some texture. Plus a lot of lung power since I didn't want to go find a straw lol. Once I had the background to a point that I liked I set it aside to dry. Once it was done I chopped it down to 4'' by 5 1/4'' and added the green cardstock that matched the green of the Alcohol Inks fairly well.

I used Copic Markers to color in the characters, list of colors used below. Then stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder. I'm trying out a new brand for embossing powder and so far I think I like it! It seems pretty white and went on smoothly. For this sentiment I did end up stamping and embossing twice. I also cut the triangle for the corners form a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock.
For the inside I used a trial piece of the Alcohol Ink background that didn't work out as well as the one I used on the front. I like that it brings a bit of the texture to the inside! I love the Happy Burstday sentiment so I knew I had to use that with the little creature! To add some more depth and fun to this card I also die cut the creature using a hexagon die then added a Action Wobbler behind it so it pops up and wiggles. Cracks me up!
I hope you enjoyed the video and don't forget to check all the information below! Thank you guys so much for stopping by today!
Copic Markers used:
W9, W6, W3, W1
C7, C5, C3, C1
