New challenge (stripes and circles) happening over on the Art Impressions blog which also mean we are featuring some of the new products in the Art Impressions Circlet line! I made a few cards using the brand new Pasture Circlet stamps and dies.
This one has a serine country look with a large barn, lots of grassy area and 2 beautiful horses behind a wooden fence. When I was little I loved horses (❤ My Little Pony, anyone else?) so this appealed to that old obsession of mine.
Before making these, I had never used any of the products in the Circlet line before. So I decided to make the more "traditional" tryfold circlet cards.
I know it always helps me to SEE how something is put together. Here is a video of how I made these circlet cards.
Not only was it easy to put these together but decorating was fun too. I used some Tonic Gilding flakes, Stick It adhesive and Art Impression Stitched Circle Dies, for the copper ring on this one.
This one I ink blended Distress Oxide Black Soot ink over a Kindred Stamps Zebra stencil to get those lovely stripes. I love the simplicity of B&W. For the inside of a few I used a couple of the Art Impressions Circle dies to make a ring, I did have to trim the inner circle a little more since it was not a perfect fit. Then I heat embossed the sentiment around the 3rd circlet with white embossing powder. For one of them I used my ATG adhesive and glued the second fold over so that it would still open like a traditional card instead of a tryfold. The possibilities are endless with these Circlet stamps and dies!
There is some amazing inspiration, showing how you can use these in other ways, from the other designers over on the Art Impressions blog. So, once you are done here I suggest checking those out, if you haven't already. 😉
