When I went to the store I had no idea what I was going to do but I had it in my head that I was going to make something. DIY gifts are fun to give. I made this for my Mom for her birthday and the photo is a favorite picture of my sister and I.
So most of items that I bought for this I found at Craft Warehouse <-------- click Unfortunately this craft store does not have a online store and is local to the Southern Washington/ Oregon area. But if you are ever visiting or close enough to make a stop I highly suggest it.

I first layed out everything and just played with the elements that I bought I rearranged them and then started adding some items that I had in my stash.
Once I knew approximately of where I was going to put these items I used some white Gesso to paint certain spots on the heart pallet; like where the vinyl was going. I also used the gesso on a few of the thin wooden frames.
Elements in my stash and how I used them.
Stamped flowers - These are made from an Ink Road stamp, Bella Flora. I colored these with Copics while camping and for the #thedailymarker30day. I fussy cut the stamps out, distressed with an Antique Linen Distress Ink and then mod poged them. I attached the larger bunch to the metal flower by tracing the shape and cutting out the stamped image. I adhered that to the metal flower with mod podge.
Stamped Burlap - This is something that I was going to make a card for my mom out of but just never used it. I'm not sure of the stamp I used but I know I stamped it with Stazon ink and then added minimal color with a red and purple Copic marker.
The 3 thin Wooden frames - These I bought at a Scrapbook Expo my Mom and I went to around 8 years ago. I did use some but these 3 I've been hanging on to for some time.
Baker's Twine Bow - The Twinery Baker's Twine in Lilac, small bow on Safety Pin.
Heart Die Cut - I made specifically for this. It is cut using a Papertrey Ink heart stitch die. Then I used Gesso and Antique Linen Distress Ink to distress it. I added Tim Holtz Crackle Paint for even more texture.
And lots of hot glue!
