As you saw in the video I blended the alcohol inks then started over and finally got the look and color I wanted. Being able to do a redo (to a point) is an awesome plus that alcohol inks have. Then I cut the piece of Yupo paper in half. The Tim Holtz Yupo paper comes as 5in x 7in sheet and I made it into two 5in by 3.5in pieces. Just so I could make 2 cards!
And here is the second card.......
Instead of stamping the images on to a piece of cardstock below the alcohol ink panel like I did in the first. I die cut the alcohol ink panel and then layered that over a piece of the shimmer Night Sky cardstock. I used the same dies to die cut in white cardstock and inlaid those pieces onto the card. The birthday and the flames of the candles are both done in this manner. The hugs die I cut then laid on top with out doing the inlay technique. Oh gosh I hope that all made sense.
I used glossy accents on the candles and flames... and... boy are they shimmer and shiny!!! Love how that brings out that blue shimmer in that cardstock.
