Alright it's a little late on Friday night but I did get this video up on my You Tube Channel <------ click to see more videos by me!
In this video I'm showing the Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink kit and how I made backgrounds for cards using one of them. Below is the video and at the end of this post is the links to all products used.
For the cards I used a few Papertrey Ink dies and the second background created in the video.
For this first card I die cut the balloon and balloon string from the alcohol ink background. I adhered those to a card base made from Neenah dessert storm in 80lb. Then I die the Happy part of the sentiment 3 times from Neenah solar white in 80lb also. The "birthday" word was stamped on to dessert storm cardstock with Versafine ink in Onyx Black. Then added some dots with clear Nuvo drops to add some interest. I also used my ole' corner rounder, I haven't used that in quite some time.
For the second card I used the negative from the die cuts of the first card. I wanted to use as much of this alcohol background that I could. I turned the negative cut of the balloon into a die cut using Papertrey Ink dies. I added vellum to the cover of the shaker and put gold specs inside. The Hooray came from the same die set as the balloon. I added a bit of the shimmer to the Hooray sentiment and also corner rounded opposite corners on this one.
