I saw this stamp set at my local craft store. It's by Concord & 9th, I really have only one other stamp set by them and that is the Perfectly Penned stamp. I love the fonts they use and have been inspired to mix up more fonts lately; As you can probably see by my Saturday's post.
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge
This week prompt is something new.
The entire sentiment is from the Lucky stamp set. I really love all the possibilities of sentiments that you can use with just this one set. By clicking the picture below it will take you to the Concord & 9th website.
So this card was pretty simple to make. The hardest part was figuring out the colors I wanted to go with. I really like the "in the Navy" ink by Gina K. and used both blue colors by her. Her inks definitely do dry nice and smooth. I used the Misti of course to stamp out everything but that word "lucky" is so bold it looks like a card stock die cut not a stamped word.
Of course.... I did have some trouble with this card... My heat gun stopped working. If you follow me on Instagram you may have already saw this.... I was done with the front embossing and was working on the inside. After laying out the stamps where I wanted them to be and using VersaMark ink with white embossing powder; I went to melt the powder and tried to turn on my heat gun.... nothing happened. I switched outlets and even went to a whole different room.... again nothing. No power, no heat. Here I was with embossing powder all ready to be melted just sitting there on my cardstock. So.... I went to the kitchen. Kicked the oven on to Broil at 400 degrees, grabbed a pair of tongs and heated it up. Worked like a charm and so fast! Then of course I ordered a new heat gun.
That heat gun by Marvy had lasted going on 9 years now, so it was only a matter of time.
My broiled sentiment, inside. =)

I'm listing the Wagner heat gun that I just ordered. I have heard great things about this one and have seen it in action in many videos.
