Da Vinci watercolor sample dots

Today I bring you "new to me" Da Vinci watercolors. This is a dot sampler that they ship to you for $6.99. I used code total to receive %10 off if that doesn't work I'm sure there is another code out there that you can use. When you check out be sure to select "Free USA Shipping Item DVPWC24" for free shipping.

Can I just say that I am absolutely obsessed with this packaging. It has a flip down lid and inside holds the 24 watercolor sample dots. It's made out of a cardboard material; reminds me of a egg carton almost.

Bad blogger.... I didn't take a picture before I dug into the paints.

Each paint dot has it's own little spot to sit in. I just used a water brush and a small piece of plexi glass, that my husband cut for me, as a pallet.

It also shipped with a pamphlet of all (I believe) the colors that they sell. These watercolor paints are made in the USA and are very pigmented.

This was my way of doing a swatch test with out just streaks of paint; Swatch Balloons. I've seen this done of youtube and love the idea. My hidden secret.... I swatch everything! hahaha.

So my little review of these paints? I really like them... Surprised? With as much detail as they put into just the sampler dot packaging you can only imagine the amount of detail that they would put into mixing their pigments.

They blend very well (painting coming soon) and spread beautifully with the "wet on wet" technique. They have a wide array of colors and are made in the USA (love that!). Go to their website and check them out here. That link will take you directly to the sample dot info page. If you do try them, leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

This is in no way a sponsored post nor do I have any affiliation with the Da Vinci brand. I found out about this product through In Liquid Color on youtube.

Disclaimer: I am in know way a watercolor specialist. I do not know everything about watercolor paints and this post only lists my own opinion. We all have different opinions of the products we use. I share to spread what I love in hopes it may inspire someone else.

Below is a supply list I have compiled. All links below are affiliate links and are used to help support this blog and my hobby. I only link to products that I love and use. Thank you so much for visiting and all comments are appreciated!
